The Shaftesbury Food Festival and Gold Hill Cheese Race
The Shaftesbury Food Festival is a local institution, featuring a fabulous foodie market, craft stalls, chef demos and - of course - the legendary Gold Hill Cheese Race.
The small team who've taken it on this year are led by the Shaftesbury Chamber of Commerce, and we're working hard behind the scenes to make sure this year's festival goes off with a bang!

The Shaftesbury Christmas Market
When the Christmas Market looked like it was going to disappear from the calendar, I decided that I wasn't going to let that happen. Enlisting a couple of friends for help, we set about keeping the festive event going, and - despite some rather worrying weather forecasts in the week before - it went off without a hitch.
All profits raised were donated to charity, shared between the Vale Pantry and the Shaftesbury Youth Club.
